Boston.com’s ROMANCE RUMBLE!

Come indulge at Somerville Theatre on February 10th with Boston.com’s Meredith Goldstein and Wesley Morris. We will be hosting Boston.com’s Romance Rumble Event at 8pm, where we will be showing the #1 voted Sexiest Movie. Tickets are now available HERE by selecting Feb. 10, but make sure to buy 2 so you can invite your special valentine.

MBTA Red Line running shuttles Sat-Sun

For our patrons taking the T, please be aware that the T is running shuttles from Harvard Square and north points on Saturdays and Sundays from this weekend until March 2012 for repairs. We’ve been told that the shuttles will be regular and plentiful, but in any case, customers taking the T might want to give themselves a few extra minutes for travel time.

Baby-Friendly Matinees

As many of our customers know, we’ve offered Baby-Friendly Matinees at the Capitol Theatre for several years. When we began that program, we also had them at Somerville, but they were discontinued at Somerville due to low attendance. However, thanks to some interest from our customer base, we’re giving them a try again.
Somerville will now be offering a Baby-Friendly Matinee most THURSDAY afternoons at 1:30pm. The next show will be SHAME on Thu 2/9.
A Baby-Friendly Matinee is not a movie for babies – it’s for the moms and dads out there who want to see a movie and bring their baby with them and not have to worry about the baby making noise, or the movie damaging their child’s hearing. We keep the lights up at mid-level and the volume down a little lower so that parents can attend to their kids and still see a first-run movie. While patrons without infants are certainly welcome to attend, they should know that the babies are free to be babies during the show!
